The perfect little Maine state park

A short distance from Owls Head Maine, you will find the lovely Birch Point State Park. This park, which sets alongside the mid-coastal region of the state, is the perfect area for swimming due to its gentle surf. One of the most relaxing beaches in the entire state, the crescent shaped beach here at Birch Point State Park is the perfect place to enjoy the Maine ocean at its best.

Fishing is another enjoyable pastime that can be found at this state park. Shore-fishing will provide anglers of all ages an ample chance at catching saltwater rock bass or mackerel while visiting the park.

The shoreline that surrounds the park has become very popular with local and national photographers alike. For many years people have come to the park, simply to enjoy the views and to take photos. Although there is no camping allowed in the park, a nice day use area has been set up for those who wish to picnic. There are also a few well maintained outhouses for guest to use.

One of the smallest of all state parks, it is also one of the most peaceful. You will never have to worry about the crowds that flock to other larger state parks here at Birch Point.

If you are looking for a really beautiful place to get away from it all or you are looking to do some fishing, why not drop by this small but charming Maine state park? There is a small fee of $4 per person for you to enjoy the entire day here at Birch Point State Park. Love this place, Enjoy.
